Special Events

As a registered member of the Alumni Network, you can opt to receive special invitations to events such as receptions, exhibition openings, guest lectures, and networking opportunities. These may be held on campus, across the UK, and around the world.

Past international events have been held in Athens, Berlin, Kuala Lumpur, Madrid, and Chongqing. Locations for alumni events in the UK have included MediaCity in Manchester, the National Liberal Club, Santander headquarters in Regent's Place, and the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London.

Climate Change and Sustainability

Naturalist, TV presenter, and University of Lincoln Visiting Lecturer, Chris Packham will return to the University to explore climate change and sustainability in a special Great Lives Lecture.

As a follow up to the University of Lincoln declaring a Climate Emergency in May 2019, the institution is hosting a series of events aimed at empowering the local community to make a difference.

As a passionate speaker on climate change, Chris Packham aims to give a lively lecture on the changes we can all make to protect the planet against pollution and climate change, and help to conserve the environment.

The University of Lincoln is delighted to welcome satirical cartoonist and illustrator Gerald Scarfe CBE as part of its Great Lives Autumn/Winter 2019 lecture series. 

Gerald is widely considered to be one of the most influential journalists in Great Britain and gained his reputation working for both The Sunday Times and The New Yorker. His talk, titled '60 Years of Being Rude', will take place on Friday 22 November 2019 on the University's Brayford Pool Campus.

The University of Lincoln is delighted to present author, academic, and advocate of freedom of speech Professor Brian Winston as part of its Great Lives Autumn/Winter 2019 lecture series. 

Professor Winston, who in 1985 won an Emmy award for documentary script writing, will deliver his talk 'Fake News: The Facts' on Thursday 28 November 2019 at the University's Brayford Pool Campus.
