Continuing BMBS Medicine Students (Nottingham)

Welcome Back from Lincoln Medical School

Welcome back!

All of us at the University look forward to your return, as both students at Lincoln Medical School and citizens of Lincoln. We are committed to helping you keep safe and to ensuring that you make the most of the opportunities that studying for a Nottingham degree offers.

Our plans to welcome you back to campus will continue to develop over the Summer and we will contact you prior to the start of the academic year with further information you need to be aware of prior to you returning next year.

In the meantime, we have summarised a few things below regarding information on our arrangements to welcome you back to campus in September 2026. Please use the drop-down menus available below.

Start of Term

For students progressing into Year 2 or Year 3 of BMBS Medicine, the start of term is Monday 21st September 2026, with teaching starting that week. Timetables for the 26-27 academic year will be available at the end of August via the Lincoln App and will be uploaded to Moodle.

Online Registration

You will receive an email notification from the University of Nottingham at the end of August which will contain further details of how to complete the online registration process in order to re-register onto your course. All returning students are required to register at the start of each academic year. Your on-campus attendance confirmation will be carried out by the University of Lincoln.

Accommodation

Our Accommodation teams look forward to welcoming you back to Lincoln and helping you to feel settled and safe in your home – whether it is on campus or in the city.

We know that many students will already have plans or bookings for their term time accommodation for 2026-27. The Student Support and Advice Team are available to help all students with any questions or concerns that you may have about your accommodation whilst studying at the University of Lincoln. Further information can be found on the Student Services website

Students moving into campus accommodation such as halls of residence will receive an email from our Accommodation Team by mid-July with more information about moving back to campus.

If you have any questions or queries about accommodation, you can contact the Lincoln Accommodation Team via email at accommodation@lincoln.ac.uk. It will help the team deal with your enquiry if you indicate that you are a student at the Lincoln Medical School in the subject title.

Health and Welfare

We know that alongside the excitement of returning to university, some of you might be apprehensive about leaving home or reintegrating to university life. Our established Student Support and Student Wellbeing Centres remain available to support you with your health and to discuss any concerns you might have, as well as the support from the School if you wish to discuss with them.

A range of resources and contact details for Student Services can be found on the Student Services website.

As always, your personal tutor will be a key point of contact for both academic and pastoral support - in person or online. Do get in touch with them if you have not already done so.

Questions?

The Library team continues to offer a huge number of resources and support to students online. More details can be found on the library website.

IT services and support remain available via the ICT Service Desk.

If you have any questions about registration, please contact the University of Nottingham via https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/studentservices/help/index.aspx
