Practice Educators play a vital role in supporting the development of Social Work learners. As 'gate keepers' to the profession, they are responsible for ensuring that future generations of social workers meet the professional standards and capabilities expected of the role. Practice educators are in an exciting and unique position to be able to help develop the future of high-quality social work practice and to shape and support social work learners to become excellent practitioners in the field.
The Lincolnshire Practice Educator Certificate (LPEC) has been developed and endorsed by the University of Lincoln to enable social work Practice Educators to evidence that they have met the requirements of the Practice Educator Professional Standards (BASW 2022).
The course is ideal for anyone who supports, mentors, and assesses pre- or post-qualified social work learners and is engaging in formal and informal learning or development activities.
