Each year, we are delighted to offer a wide range of automatic and merit-based competitive scholarships to students from around the world.

Entry Requirements

As a prospective student from Spain, you will be required to meet the following academic entrance requirements prior to starting your studies at the University of Lincoln.

We accept a wide variety of International Foundation year programmes, including Kaplan, INTO, Bellerbys, Study Group and NCUK.

Entry requirements vary depending on the degree applied for, but a typical offer would be between 50% and 60% in your Foundation or grades BCC-ABB in your NCUK Foundation.

If you have completed an International Year One programme, you may be considered for Level 2 of your chosen bachelor’s degree. Applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Prospective students require one of the following qualifications for entry into year one of an undergraduate degree:

  • Titulo de Bachillerato with a grade of either 7 or 7.5 depending on the course you are applying for. Some courses may require a specific subject score.
  • Successful completion of a recognised International Foundation Year programme
  • A - Level qualifications. Further information on specific course entry requirements can be found on the individual undergraduate course pages
  • Between 27 and 34 International Baccalaureate (IB) points depending on the course you wish to apply for. Specific information on IB requirements can be found on individual undergraduate course pages
  • Equivalent qualifications such as the European Baccalaureate can also be considered for entry onto undergraduate programmes. 

Advanced Entry (Undergraduate)

Depending on your academic background and intended course of study, it may be possible to apply for advanced entry into year 2 or 3 of a University of Lincoln undergraduate course.

Postgraduate Taught

Before joining a University of Lincoln postgraduate taught (master’s degree) programme, you will need to have completed an honour's degree, or an equivalent qualification, at a recognised institution. You will also need to obtain a specific grade/classification in order to be accepted onto the programme.

Our programme webpages contain information regarding the specific grade/classification we require. The requirements may range from a first class honour’s degree to a lower second-class honours. The table below outlines what we deem to be an equivalent grade/classification in Spain.

For certain programmes we may be able to consider extensive relevant professional experience if you do not meet the above requirements. The programme webpage will tell you if your chosen programme will consider professional experience in lieu of an honour's degree.

Postgraduate Research

The University of Lincoln offers a variety of research degree programmes. Information regarding entry requirements can be found on the individual programme webpage.

In addition to meeting the academic requirements outlined above, you will also be expected to meet the University's English Language requirements.

As a guide, the majority of our programmes require an IELTS score of 6.0, 6.5 or 7.0. To find out more about the specific English Language requirements you will need to meet, please visit our programme pages.
