1 General
1.1 It is the student’s responsibility to inform Student Registry Services in writing or by other designated procedures of changes in term time, home or other addresses, and of other relevant information, such as change of name.
1.2 Student information and personal data shall be managed and processed in accordance with Uk Data Protection legislation. The University Privacy Notices. inform individuals how the University uses their personal data.
1.3 Access to student records is confined to staff who require access in connection with the performance of their duties and third parties, as detailed within the Privacy notices. All persons maintaining or having access to student records are instructed that the information therein is confidential.
1.4 Under certain circumstances however, the University may have a legal obligation to disclose information, for example to Local Authorities, Sponsors, or the Police.
1.5 A student may access their individual record and personal data by submitting a Data Subject Access Request to the University’s Information Compliance team. A student may also request rectification of inaccurate data in their individual record by submitting a Right to Rectification Request.
