Welcome to the Lincoln School of Architecture and the Built Environment
By joining us you can benefit from all the resources and opportunities available to you as a University of Lincoln student, as well as from the links that our School has with local design practices and key organisations in the construction industry.
We offer undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in Architecture; Interior Architecture and Design; Design for Event, Exhibition and Performance; and Construction Science and Management. All our programmes are designed to equip students with the understanding and skills they will need to operate effectively within a globalised, innovation-driven economy. Course content is informed by current trends and developments in practice and the built environment sector, utilising industry-standard equipment and technologies.
The identity of The Lincoln School of Architecture and the Built Environment rests on the necessity to design and build tomorrow’s buildings and cities that are socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable. Courses and projects therefore address design and construction challenges in both national and international contexts.
This ethos is further shaped by an integrated approach to the delivery of our programmes which reflects the reality of industry. We regard our programmes as allied disciplines that, seen together under one roof, provide a platform for the cross-fertilisation of ideas in the classroom and studio, and the creation of tomorrow’s built environments.
Our ambition is to educate students to the highest professional standards and to nurture confident graduates who will make a positive difference in the world. I look forward to meeting you at one of our Open Days where you can gain first-hand experience of our facilities and engage with our highly qualified, passionate staff.
