Steps Away: Verified

Walk to lectures, friends, nights out — everything.

At Lincoln, you’re steps from your lectures, coffee, friends, nights out – the whole student city experience. With the campus and city centre sharing a waterfront, everything that matters is a short walk away – not a bus ride. And when you want more, just stroll to the train station. You can be in London in two hours.

Historic Lincoln

Just minutes from campus, Steep Hill leads into the Cathedral Quarter and Bailgate — a historic area filled with independent shops, cafés, and character. At the top, Lincoln Cathedral and Castle offer iconic views and stories.

Lincoln Cathedral and Castle

Overlooking the city, Lincoln Cathedral is one of Europe’s most iconic medieval buildings—and it was once the tallest in the world. It also doubles as the epic backdrop for the University’s graduation ceremonies. Just down the road, Lincoln Castle is home to one of only four surviving 1215 Magna Carta originals.
