As a parent or guardian of a student considering university, we understand that you may be wondering about the process of applying to university and how you can help.
Before applying to University
Choosing a university can depend on a number of factors, including the course and teaching quality, student support, accommodation, career prospects and location. The best way to address any questions that you may have is to attend an Open Day as a family.
Our Open Days offer the opportunity to meet with academic staff, visit accommodation, meet with student services and explore the city and campus. By providing you with all of the key information you need, and the chance to disucss any concerns you may have, you will be prepared to help your son or daughter make an informed decision.

Applying to University
All applications made to The University of Lincoln are submitted through the University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). Key dates of the application process can be found on their website. UCAS also have a 'Terms Explained', which you may find useful.
Applying for Student Finance
Applications for student finance should be made by the end of May to ensure funding is in place when they begin university. Applications are made through Student Finance England.
Tuition fees do not need to be paid upfront and there are a variety of loans, grants and scholarships on offer to applicants. More information can be found on our fees and funding page.
The University of Lincoln guarantees accommodation to new undergraduate students starting in September who confirm the University of Lincoln as their first choice by 30 June. For more information on accommodation options, please visit our accommodation pages.
