Lincoln Students’ Union is an independent, student-led organisation run on behalf of all University of Lincoln students. Its aim is to provide the best possible student experience by hosting a wide range of services which put students at the heart of life at Lincoln. Students can get involved in everything from sports and societies, academic representation, volunteering, employability services, the SU Advice Centre, and a whole host of social events and entertainment.
Lincoln Students' Union has a team of elected Student Leaders who aim to ensure that your student voice is heard. Led by your Students’ Union President, the five Leaders represent you in all areas of your student experience including: education, welfare and community, activities, employability, and more.
There are lots of ways for you to get involved with your Students’ Union. From becoming a Course Representative to taking part in sports and societies, there is something for everyone. The Students’ Union’s Campaigns Network also provides an excellent platform to meet new people while fundraising for, championing, and supporting under-represented groups.
The Students’ Union offers a dedicated employability programme to help you identify and develop new skills. From a wide-range of volunteering opportunities to Swan’s Den (Lincoln SU’s very own Dragon’s Den), there are many CV-boosting opportunities to get involved in.
Housed in an impressive glass building, once an engine shed, and located on the Brayford Waterfront within the University campus, Tower Bar is a hub of entertainment for students and staff. Watch live sports and enjoy food and drink.
The Engine Shed is Lincoln’s largest live entertainment venue with a host of regular and one off club nights, including student favourite Quack. Its stage has welcomed many award-winning artists from Kaiser Chiefs to Stereophonics, and comedians including Jimmy Carr and Sarah Millican.
Located on the edge of the University of Lincoln campus with a view of the Brayford Waterfront, The Swan pub is a prime location for waterside food and drink for university students and staff. The Swan offers a wide array of snacks, meals, and drinks throughout the day.
Moored on the picturesque Brayford Pool, The Barge offers a special on-the-water cocktail bar experience. With ingredients carefully selected from around the globe, The Barge aims to provide you with a cocktail – and an evening - that is truly one-of-a-kind.
