Representing You

Lincoln Students’ Union is an independent, student-led organisation run on behalf of all University of Lincoln students. Its aim is to provide you with the best possible student experience by hosting a wide range of services which put you at the heart of life at Lincoln. You can get involved in everything from sports and societies, academic representation, volunteering, employability services, the SU Advice Centre, and a whole host of social events and entertainment.

Lincoln Students' Union has a team of elected Student Leaders who are there to ensure that your student voice is heard. Led by your Students’ Union President, the five Leaders represent you in all areas of your student experience, including: academic affairs, welfare and community, activities, employability, and more. There is also a dedicated Leader for international students.

There are loads of ways to get involved with your Students’ Union. You could become a Course Representative, take part in sports and societies, or stand in the annual Students’ Union elections – to name a few. The Students' Union engages in campaigns throughout the year to help support under-represented groups through its Campaigns Network, as well as running the annual Freshers Fayre, and hosting club nights and socials across its various student venues.

Make Yourself Employable

The Students' Union offers a dedicated ‘Work Ready’ programme to help you identify and learn new skills, providing you with the tools to achieve your future career aspirations. Partnering with the University’s Careers & Employability team, you can boost your career options after university by getting involved in their ‘Career Boosters’ workshops.

You can also get involved in their various volunteering opportunities, offering everything from one-off to long-term placements.

Best Bar None

The University of Lincoln's Student Union venue has been named as one of the safest students' union venues in the country, receiving Best Bar None Gold across all of the venues in 2015, 2016 and 2017. As a University of Lincoln student you can buy an NUS Extra card from the Students’ Union, enabling you to receive a discount in student venues and gain access to hundreds of in-store and online discounts.
