Your Students' Union

Lincoln Students’ Union is an independent, student-led organisation run on behalf of University of Lincoln students. Its aim is to provide opportunities and support to enable you to develop your skills, gain valuable experience, meet new people and make the most of your time at Lincoln. It provides a wide range of services such as representation, opportunities to participate in sport or volunteering activities, employability information, advice on academic issues, and entertainment.

Lincoln Students' Union has a team of student leaders who each focus on a different area to help students at Lincoln can get the most from their time here. They represent you for academic affairs, your welfare and role in the local community, activities, and have a special representative for international students.

You could become a course representative, take part in activities, or stand in the annual Students’ Union elections. Five full-time Student Leaders and a team of Volunteer Officers represent you to enable you to get involved in and influence the direction of your Students’ Union and that your views are represented to the University of Lincoln. The Students' Union engages in campaigns throughout the year to help support LGBT+, mature, women’s, disabled and BAME groups.

Make Yourself Employable

The Students' Union offers a dedicated programme to help you identify and learn new skills, providing you with the tools to achieve your future career aspirations. Volunteering offers hundreds of different opportunities for you to get involved in, from one-off to long-term placements.

You can also access the Job Shop, run in conjunction with the University of Lincoln’s Careers and Employability Team, to find part-time work while you study. There are also dedicated advisers to help you increase your chances of securing employment.

Students' Union Venues

Best Bar None

The University of Lincoln's Student Union venue has been named as one of the safest students' union venues in the country, receiving Best Bar None Gold across all of the venues in 2015, 2016 and 2017. As a University of Lincoln student you can buy an NUS Extra card from the Students’ Union, enabling you to receive a discount in student venues and gain access to hundreds of in-store and online discounts.
