Our Offer
A key strength of this collaboration is the balance it offers. Trainees benefit from the academic rigour, research-informed teaching, and quality assurance of a university-led PGCE, alongside the practical, day-to-day experience that SCITT providers are uniquely placed to deliver.
As the teacher training landscape continues to evolve, many SCITT providers are reviewing how partnerships can help strengthen and future-proof their PGCE offer — particularly where flexibility, capacity, and accessibility are priorities. Building on the success of our work with our established SCITT partners, the University of Lincoln is now keen to explore similar partnerships with SCITT providers across England and Wales.
We offer a proven framework, experienced academic teams, and a strong track record of working collaboratively to deliver positive outcomes for trainees and providers. Delivery models can be tailored to meet local needs, with online and hybrid options available where appropriate — enabling partners to extend their reach while maintaining quality and consistency.
At its core, this is about collaboration. By working together, the University of Lincoln and SCITT providers can support trainee teachers more effectively, strengthen PGCE provision, and respond to the changing needs of schools and the education sector.
