To help you prepare, the following information provides guidance on the entrance requirements you will need to meet, alongside further information in support of your application.

Entry Requirements

Prospective students from Iran are required to meet the following University of Lincoln entry requirements:

Successful completion Diplom-Motevasseteh/ High School Diploma (3 years). For more information about our Foundation International Year 1 courses click here.

Prospective students require one of the following qualifications for entry into year one of an undergraduate degree:

  • The Peeshdaneshgahe (Pre-University Certificate) with a minimum of 14/20 or the Konkur (National University Entrance Examination) may be considered for direct entry to a Bachelor’s degree.
  • An Associate Degree (Kardani or Fogheh Diplom) with good grades from a recognised institution in Iran will also be considered for direct entry to an undergraduate programme.
  • Successful completion of other UK Foundation courses may be considered
  • A levels
  • International Baccalaureate (IB).

 

Advanced Entry (Undergraduate)

Depending on your academic background and intended course of study, it may be possible to apply for advanced entry into year 2 or 3 of a University of Lincoln undergraduate course.

Postgraduate Taught (e.g. MA/MSc)

  • Karshenasi/Lisans (Bachelor’s Degree) from a recognised institution. You will usually be expected to have a final grade of between 13-16/20
  • Doctora dar reshteh (Professional Doctorate) in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy or Veterinary medicine
  • We also accept students with a 3 year UK bachelor degree
  • MPhil/PhD applicants normally require a Bachelor degree as well as a Master’s degree from a UK university or a Karshenasi Arshad/Foghe Lisance (Master’s Degree) from a recognised university in Iran.

Postgraduate Resarch (e.g. MPhil/PhD)

  • Successful completion of a Master’s Degree.

English Language Requirements

IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in each band score) or equivalent. Please note that some courses require a higher score

Students who do not meet the above English language requirements may be eligible for entry onto a Pre Sessional English and Academic Study Skills (PEASS) course.
