Introduction
The Masters of Science in Sustainable Architectural Design bridges the gap between architecture, and technology and sustainability, enabling graduates to respond effectively to the growing environmental challenges faced by the building industry and our planet.
Aims
The Lincoln School of Architecture aims to play a key role in preparing future decision makers to meet the challenges of sustainable development by offering this specialised course. The aim is to develop skills, knowledge and understanding related to environmental sustainability, construction and building technology, adopting the principles and practices of sustainable building design, while responding to environmental change.
Links With Industry
The Lincoln School of Architecture is a founder member of the Construction Emissions Community of Practice (CECoP), a community of consultant and academic organisations which has a common interest in understanding and quantifying the carbon emissions impact of constructing buildings. External links with local and regional building industry companies and environmental organisations include Lindum Group, Simons Group, Longhurst Group and Hill Holt Wood.
Careers
The MSc in Sustainable Architectural Design equips graduates with the specialised knowledge and skills to be able to design, plan and advise on successful, sustainable building design and ecological built environment projects. This course will give graduates the practical sustainable and environmental design knowledge and skills that are highly sought after by employers.
