The Graduate School
The Graduate School is a dedicated department for Postgraduate Students promoting the development of postgraduate activity and champion the interests of postgraduate students throughout the University.
We are able to achieve these aims through a variety of different ways, ranging from:
- Providing study facilities and recreational areas
- Offering education and training courses for both students and academic colleagues
- Satisfaction surveys for PGR and PGT students
- Hosting networking and social events
- Annual Postgraduate Student Conference
All of these activities allow us to engage the postgraduate community and support and enhance their student journey.
“The University of Lincoln seemed the obvious choice for my PhD as it offered the course I wanted and also provided the equipment necessary for me to conduct my research.
I also chose Lincoln because of its location in the centre of the city - providing the perfect environment for undisturbed study, its facilities and resources and the safe environment. As an international student it was reassuring to know that Lincoln is one of the safest cities in England.” - Marwan Shaker, Baghdad, Iraq, PhD in Robotics.
The Graduate School offers areas for both postgraduate and academic use throughout the year.
All the rooms at The Graduate School can be used on a casual daily basis and we also offer the spaces for student or academic bookings, where it can be used for meetings, training or any other postgraduate event. They have access to free Wi-Fi and refreshments.
The Academic Commons
The academic commons is a large area that offers comfort and a quiet area for study and can be used on an individual or group basis.
The commons has access to computer stations and printing facilities, where you can come and study in a relaxed and quiet atmosphere.
The classroom is a more formal room, perfect for smaller group discussions, meetings or training sessions.
