Connecting ambitious talent with forward-thinking employers
An apprenticeship can be great option if you're looking to develop new, future-focused skills, gain real-world experiences, and further your career. Apprenticeships combine work with training and study for a specific role and there are several qualifications to choose from depending on your previous experience and career aspirations.
Why Choose an Apprenticeship?
As an Apprentice
Apprenticeships offer a flexible study option where your employer, often with government funding, invests in your professional development. By combining university study or 'off-the-job training' with your role, our programmes enable you to develop practical skills that benefit both your career and the business.
As an Employer
Apprenticeships are a great way to build and strengthen your workforce, ensuring a talent pool primed for long-term success and growth. Whether you’re bringing in new talent or upskilling current employees, apprenticeships provide a structured, hands-on training pathway that focuses on practical applications of knowledge, meaning employees can utilise their training to support your business goals.

How Does It Work?
An apprenticeship includes on-the-job training, delivered alongside academic study, helping apprentices work towards a nationally recognised qualification. Apprenticeships typically take one to five years to complete depending on the level being studied.
As an apprentice you’ll be an employee earning a wage and getting holiday pay, work alongside experienced staff, gain job-specific skills, and get time for training and study related to your role (at least 20% of your normal working hours). Employers can get help from the government to pay for apprenticeship training and assessment. The funding you are eligible for is determined by the number of people you employ, the annual payroll of your company, and the age of the apprentices you employ.
You will be assessed at the end of your training to ensure you are competent in your job and can perform all the aspects of the role. This is called an end-point assessment and checks the knowledge, skills, and behaviours you have learned throughout your apprenticeship.
It’s incredible how much I learned over the four-year period and learning on the job means you can really relate to your workplace and apply the theory to reality. The apprentice route was definitely the best route to take to start my career.
