This course looks at the methods used to protect and enhance biodiversity, in the context of sustainable farming and best practice in the use of crop protection.
Originally designed by a partnership of organisations including FWAG, LEAF and BASIS, BETA forms part of the Voluntary Initiative; a package of measures put together by the UK farming industry, as a practical alternative to a pesticide tax.
Although originally designed for advisers and agronomists, the course has become popular with farmers and farm managers.
