National Teaching Excellence Award for Lincoln Lecturer Tracey White, an Associate Professor in Learning and Innovation at Lincoln International Business School, has been awarded a National Teaching Fellowship by Advance HE which recognises her contribution to teaching excellence and positive student outcomes.

The national scheme celebrates and recognises individuals who have made an outstanding impact on student outcomes and the teaching profession in higher education.

Tracey said: "I am extremely honoured and proud to be recognised as a National Teaching Fellow. Since I started working in Higher Education, I have been passionate about enabling and empowering adult learning. I have focused on innovation in learning, teaching and assessment and providing high quality educational experiences, which are accessible for all, drawing upon my own experiences as an adult learner to help to shape and form my practice.

"Throughout my academic journey and across universities, I have been privileged to work closely with academic colleagues and professional service staff, who put students at the heart of everything they do.  Together, we ensure that learners have the necessary infrastructure and support to succeed.  To have this acknowledged through such a prestigious award means a lot to me."

Tracey has worked at the University of Lincoln since 2013 and is the Academic Lead for Online Programmes, Degree Apprenticeships and Employer Responsive Provision at Lincoln International Business School, as well as Programme leader for the MBA Leadership programme.

Director of Lincoln International Business School, Dr Craig Marsh, said: "I am really delighted for Tracey that she has received this honour. Tracey has made a substantial contribution in recent years to the expansion of our educational offer to adult learners, and she entirely deserves this national recognition for her expertise, innovative thinking, and leadership in learning and teaching."

Advance HE supports universities by bringing together HE-focused expertise in governance, leadership and management, teaching and learning, and equality, diversity and inclusion. They provide specialist knowledge and resources for the higher education sector, as well as externally recognised benchmarking and recognition schemes.

The award follows a number of recent achievements for the University, including being placed in the top 20 universities in the UK in the National Student Survey and a five-star score in the prestigious QS Stars global ratings.
