New Chief Finance Officer
Chief Finance Officer Deborah Harry Deborah Harry has been appointed Chief Finance Officer at the University of Lincoln, starting in April 2011.

She replaces Joanne Jones who will be leaving the University to take up the post of Director of Finance and Legal Services at Oxford Brookes University.

Deborah joins Lincoln from the University of Northampton where she has been Finance Director since March 2007. Previously she was at the finance team at Cranfield School of Management which is known for its prestigious MBA programme, of which Deborah is a graduate.

Deborah said: "I am proud to have been part of the growth and success of the University of Northampton over the last few years, and I am looking forward to joining the University of Lincoln at an exciting time of its development, working with its new Vice Chancellor, Mary Stuart."

Lincoln's Vice Chancellor, Professor Mary Stuart said: "I am delighted to be welcoming Deborah as our Chief Finance Officer. Her extensive experience will provide us with considerable strength in challenging times ahead. I know she will make an important contribution to our ambition to become a 'Top 50' university. We will be working with Deborah over the coming weeks to ensure a successful transition is achieved."

Professor Nick Petford, Vice Chancellor at the University of Northampton added: "Deborah's contribution to the University has been substantial and sustained. Under her leadership the University returned its biggest ever surplus and is on course for another successful financial year in 2010/11. Her contribution will be keenly missed, but we wish her well in the next stage of her career."
