THOUSANDS WILL FLOCK TO UNIVERSITY OPEN DAY
Around 2,000 visitors are expected to attend an open day at the University of Lincoln’s Brayford Pool Campus next weekend.
With potential students travelling from all over the country, visitors can attend the day on Saturday 20th January to discover more about the courses they are interested in and many other important aspects of university life.
The university will be showcasing the wide range of subjects available. English, Games Computing, Graphic Design, Journalism, History, Marketing, Law, Psychology and Tourism are just some of the subject areas covered on the day.
The day will include a series of presentations covering all aspects of student life and subject talks with the opportunity for visitors to speak personally to academic tutors.
Halls of residence, the Engine Shed and the new Human Performance Centre will be included in the campus tours scheduled throughout the day. Visitors wishing to view Riseholme Park and Cathedral Campus will be able to do so by taking one of the organised coach tours.
Current students will also be there on the day to talk to visitors about life at the university as well as providing additional information for parents. Student finance information will also be available.
A spokesperson for the university said: “The open day will provide potential students with an excellent insight into what the university has to offer and the reality of student life. The tours will also give visitors the chance to see the city of Lincoln and everything it has to offer.”
The doors open at 9.30pm until 4.00pm, visitors can arrive at any time throughout the day and everyone is welcome to attend.
