26th January 2004
Over 1,500 visitors attended an open day at the University of Lincoln at the weekend.
A total of 1,513 visitors - 559 of whom were prospective students - attended the university’s latest open day on Saturday.
The crowds included would-be students and their friends and family who came from all around the country and even as far afield as Belfast especially for the event.
Shuttle buses also allowed visitors to take tours of the Cathedral Campus (Lincoln School of Art & Design) and Riseholme Park (Lincolnshire School of Agriculture).
“This was a very important open day as prospective students are starting to make decisions about which university to go to,” said Jacqueline Mayer, Education Liaison Manager at the university.
“Most had already applied to this university so this was a good opportunity for them to come and see the facilities and meet staff.
“We have received positive feedback about the open day and we are looking forward to the next one which will take place on Saturday 6th March 2004.”
