Finishing touches are being made to this year’s art and design End of Year Shows which go on display from tomorrow (21st May) at the University of Lincoln.
These imaginative and creative exhibitions - produced by final year students from the university’s Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design - represent the culmination of up to three year’s work in their chosen discipline.
The shows will take place at various locations around Lincoln city centre as follows:-
21 – 30 May Contemporary Decorative Crafts will be on display at the Gallery, 5 Drury Lane, Lincoln, 10.00am to 4.00pm.
28 May Graphic Design HND students will present their work in the Gill Nadin Studio, Thomas Parker House, Lincoln at 7.30pm.
29 May – 5 June Followers of Fashion can view the latest designs in Room 1.07A Thomas Parker House, Lincoln, 10.00 am to 4.00pm.
2 – 4 June & Lens Media and Graphic Design students will exhibit work
9 – 13 June on the 2nd Floor of Thomas Parker House, Lincoln, 2.00pm to 4.00pm.
16 – 27 June Graphic Design National Diploma final-year students have prepared work which will be displayed at Greestone Lodge, Lindum Road, Lincoln, 9.00am to 5.00pm.
9 – 20 June Fine Art “Untitled (2003)” will hang in the Greestone Gallery, Greestone Building, Lindum Road, Lincoln, 9.00am – 4.00pm.
2 – 4 July Foundation Art and Design creations will be presented at St Michaels Church, Lincoln, 9.00am to 4.00pm.
“Once again the highest quality of student work is evident throughout the faculty’s summer shows,” said Professor Vincent Shacklock, Dean of the Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design.
“It is always pleasing to note that when the greatest of pressure exists, the discipline, creativity and imagination or our student body is exhibited in full measure.”
