A photography exhibition on a clubbing theme featuring smoke and UV lighting will be on show in Hull next month.
Kay Guthrie (21), a Media Technology student at the University of Lincoln, will exhibit the photos at Cyberia Club Wear in Hull old town from 1st to 3rd June.
The exhibition is part of her final-year project for the HND Media Technology course at the University of Lincoln’s Cottingham Road campus in Hull.
“My photos are being shown at a store and not in a gallery because the theme ties in with UV and clubbing,” says Kay, originally from Newcastle.
“The exhibition, ‘Step into the Black Light’ is presented in this way to create an all-sensory installation and not just a visual display.
“In the room we also have a smoke machine to create the right atmosphere,” she added.
Cyberia Club Wear sells designer clothing for the clubbing market. “We can provide something a little bit different we supply the atmosphere and Kay will bring the photos and a bit of extra lighting,” says Cyberia owner Sarah Pearman.
“The display will then be used as a background in the store,” she added.
