Student models will be stepping onto the catwalk at the University of Lincoln next month to raise funds for the Students’ Union Co-operative.
Eighteen models will be showing off the latest High Street fashions at ‘The Runway’ in the Delph Bar at the Brayford Pool campus on Friday 2nd May.
Clothes are being provided by sponsors S3, Oasis, Bay Trading Company, Envy and Top Shop / Top Man with make-up by The Body Shop and hair styling by Stringers.
The event is the brainchild of second-year students Laura Cunliffe (22) and Jodie Delbridge (21), who aim to raise hundreds of pounds to support student clubs and societies at the university.
“Jodie and I have a background in the performing arts we didn’t just want a walk-on, walk-off catwalk show – we wanted a fashion experience,” said Laura.
“So as well as the models we’ve got nine dancers who will open the show and the second half and there’ll also be a big finale in which the dancers and the models will interact.
“We held two auditions for the models, we’ve got a professional DJ providing the music and we’ve been rehearsing every day, so it should look really spectacular.”
‘The Runway’ takes place at 9pm on Friday 2nd May (doors open 7pm) and there will be a late licence until 2pm for the after-show party.
Reporters and photographers are welcome to attend. For more details email email@example.com
