26th June 2002
Up to 5,000 students from the Humber region are expected in Hull next week to find out more about their higher education options.
The annual Humberside HE Fair is to be staged at the Cottingham Road campus of the University of Lincoln on Monday 1st July.
Around 100 HE institutions and local FE colleges will be represented at the fair, which aims to provide A-level students with information on the choices available to them.
The University of Lincoln will be advertising its own degree courses in Hull and Lincoln alongside a host of other universities from Strathclyde in the north to Portsmouth in the south.
There will also be a series of subject information talks highlighting degree courses such as mathematics, engineering and medicine and a number of talks on issues such as applying for a place at university or college and student finance.
The fair, which runs from 9.30am until 3pm, is jointly organised by Connexions Humber and HELOA (Higher Education Liaison Officers Association) and sponsored by UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service).
