Around 100 postgraduate and overseas students will become the first to graduate from the newly named University of Lincoln this week.
The university will stage its annual postgraduate awards ceremony in Lincoln Cathedral at 2.30pm on Wednesday (23rd January).
Students will receive postgraduate awards across the entire range of subjects taught at the Lincoln campus, including History, Business Administration, Tourism, Information Technology, Economics, Educational Leadership, School Bursarship, Psychology, Public Policy and Criminology.
University media lecturer Blu Tirohl will receive her PhD in Media Production, having written her thesis on photographic images and new imaging technologies.
Also at the ceremony will be a number of students who have studied postgraduate Management courses at MDC Ltd in Maidenhead, one of the universityís partner institutions.
Joining the graduating students on stage will be Lincolnís former Bishop, the Right Reverend Robert Hardy, who will return to the city to receive an honorary Doctorate of Letters.
All students due to graduate from the Lincoln School of Art and Design and the Lincolnshire School of Agriculture (part of De Montfort University until September 2001) will receive their awards in July 2002.
