Three businessmen from Lusaka, Zambia, are due to graduate with Masters Degrees in in Finance in Hull next week (26th July).
Mubita Akapelwa, Head of Marketing at Caltex Oil Zambia Limited, Kasote Singogo from the Zambia Investment Centre and Chomba Zindazi at Barclays Bank all studied the University of Lincolnshire’s MBA in Finance via distance learning and will travel to Hull on Thursday 26th July to graduate.
Whilst working, Mubita (38) spent two years studying via distance learning: “It was hard work but was made easier by the fact that the programme was modular with lecturers from the university coming out to Lusaka every six to eight weeks to run two-day courses.”
“It has also been extremely useful for my role as Head of Marketing. To further my career I really needed to have a financial qualification of this level,” he added.
Mubita has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Kings College, London. He heard about the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside through a presentation from the institution in Lusaka.
The three businessmen will graduate from the City Hall at 11:30am on Thursday 26th July.
