The International College aims to support students from outside of the UK throughout their time at the University of Lincoln. In addition to our degree preparation programmes, we also offer Pre-sessional English and Academic Study Skills (PEASS) courses for students who need to improve their English skills before directly joining a Lincoln degree programme. We also offer a wide range of in-sessional courses and workshops to help students to gain confidence in communicating effectively during their academic studies.
Studying at a UK university can be challenging, especially if English is not your first language. Our wide range of in-sessional courses and workshops are designed to support all international students for whom English is an additional language so that they are better prepared to tackle assignments and complete all tasks that require a high level of linguistic competence.
Academic Writing Skills, Academic Listening Skills, and Seminar Discussion Skills are only a few examples of the short, free and optional English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses available that can help students gain confidence and increase their chances of achieving excellent results. Individual support is also available through our One-to-one English Language Support sessions and Grammar Clinic five days a week.
Studying in a different country and a different language can be challenging, especially if the teaching and assessment style is different to that of your own country.
To help you prepare for your studies at the University of Lincoln, our Pre-sessional English and Academic Study Skills (PEASS) courses are designed to help you develop a wide range of essential skills.
