Teaching and Learning
The Lincoln Experience
If you choose to study at the University of Lincoln, you will be joining a university at the forefront of research-engaged teaching. Our hands-on approach involves students in all aspects of teaching and learning and you will discover and share knowledge by working in collaboration with your fellow students and academics. We call this approach to teaching, Student as Producer, and it makes the Lincoln experience unique.
You could undertake degree-related work placements, work on consultancy projects in collaboration with regional, national and international employers; be part of the design and development of work for external clients; participate in creative arts projects and engage with matters of interest to our local community, as well as with issues of world-wide importance.
There are numerous opportunities to engage with the work of the University, from getting involved in the recruitment of new staff and shadowing senior managers, to providing feedback on support services and representing the opinions of your fellow students. The student voice influences the direction and development of the University at every level.
