The Lincoln Live Lounge is a regular series of livestreamed, interactive talks featuring a variety of special guests alongside University of Lincoln staff, students and alumni. Conversations cover a diverse range of topics relevant to anyone considering higher education, whether that’s exploring graduate careers in particular industries or tips on the university application process.
Dr Alex George is an A&E doctor who shot to fame on the TV show Love Island and as a passionate campaigner on mental health issues. In 2021, he was named by the Prime Minister as the country’s new Youth Mental Health Ambassador to advise government on and raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing in schools, colleges, and universities.
Dr Alex appears regularly on national television discussing health issues and hosts the popular podcast series, The Waiting Room. In this Lincoln Live Lounge guest appearance, he will discuss the importance of mental health awareness and the support available for students at university, in conversation with experts from Lincoln’s Student Wellbeing Centre.
