Interprofessional Practice (Approved Mental Health Professional) - PG Cert

This programme aims to provide the opportunity to develop the knowledge, competences and values needed to carry out the specific duties of an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) under current mental health legislation.


Nursing (Pre-registration - Adult) - MSc

The MSc Nursing (Pre-registration - Adult) course aims to prepare graduates for the complex, demanding, and rewarding area of adult nursing. The course provides those from a range of backgrounds with the opportunity to transfer their skills to become a registered nurse (adult).


Nursing (Pre-registration - Child) - MSc

Children's nurses are part of multidisciplinary teams that care for children of all ages. They play an essential role in assessing a child's needs and supporting children's families.


Nursing (Pre-registration - Mental Health) - MSc

Mental health nurses support patients with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, addiction, and eating disorders. They work in a settings such as in hospitals or the community and help people manage their illness and improve their lives.


Occupational Therapy (pre-registration) - MSc

MSc Occupational Therapy (pre-registration) is a science-based programme that is designed to prepare graduates to work in a variety of settings including health organisations, social care services, housing, education, voluntary organisations or as independent practitioners.


Physiotherapy (pre-registration) - MSc

Physiotherapy is a science-based health profession that takes a ‘whole person’ approach to promoting, improving, and maintaining wellbeing. Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability throughout the life span by using a range of interventions such as movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice.


Postgraduate Certificate in Non-Medical Prescribing/Practice Certificate in Independent Prescribing (Level 7, Level M) - PG Cert

The Postgraduate Certificate in Non-Medical Prescribing/Practice Certificate in Independent Prescribing is validated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).


Practice Portfolio in Health and Social Care - PhD

The PhD by Practice Portfolio provides a route for experienced health and social care practitioners, educators, and policy makers to achieve a Doctoral level qualification based on the contribution that they have made to their field of practice.


Social Work - MSc

The programme aims to develop reflective and competent social work practitioners who can practise safely, effectively and confidently in complex environments. The School of Health and Social Care has been validated by The Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) to deliver the MSc Social Work as a postgraduate professional award in Social Care.


Social Work Advanced Professional Practice - MSc

This advanced programme aims to support social workers in their professional development and upon completion provides a Master’s-level qualification, as recommended by the Social Work Reform Board.
