As students with the Lincoln Medical School you have the opportunity to join both or either the University of Nottingham Students' Union and the University of Lincoln Students' Union.
In respect of your membership of the University of Lincoln Students' Union, you will need to complete this form to provide consent for the University of Lincoln to share your data with the Students' Union. If you do not complete this form we will assume you are exercising your legal right for your data not to be shared with the University of Lincoln Students' Union. You will be asked about your interest in joining the University of Nottingham Students' Union (UoNSU) during the online registration process. You can find more information about the UoNSU on their website www.su.nottingham.ac.uk.
Once you have registered with the University of Nottingham, you will automatically become a member of the Nottingham Medical Society (MedSoc). You will be contacted separately by the Nottingham MedSoc with information about your membership and resources that may be of interest to you.
A Medical Society also exists at the University of Lincoln which currently comprises of allied health and science students. This society is paid membership and further information can be found about this society on their webpage.
As students of the Lincoln Medical School, you will have the opportunity to access resources and support that may be available through both of these existing student-led societies. However, as the first cohort of medical students studying with the Lincoln Medical School, both the universities, working with the Students' Union, are keen to enter into discussions with you to find out how you would like to see developments around societies for medical students at Lincoln progressing. You will receive a presentation during your Students' Union induction session which will talk about this in more detail and let you know how to get involved.
