Dr Sarah Barrow

Dr Sarah BarrowSarah Barrow joined the Board as Staff Governor in August 2014. She is Head of the School of Film & Media at the University, and a researcher of Latin American cinemas and cultures. She has previously worked at Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge) and has been an external examiner at Portsmouth, UEA, Keele and Ulster. She is committed to social transformation, cultural policy and media education, and is currently on the boards for Lincoln’s Frequency Festival of Digital Culture, the Midlands Archive for Central England and the national education charity, the English & Media Centre. While in Cambridge, Sarah was Chair of the board of trustees of a charity working to support the homeless. She is a member of the Advisory Panel for the AHRC-funded Book of the Future project, University lead for the Arts Council funded 1215.today digital arts project, represents the College of Arts on the Lincoln Cultural Arts Partnership and is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts.

As Staff Governor, Sarah is on the University’s Honours Committee.
