School of Computer Science
The School of Computer Science is based on our picturesque waterfront campus in the impressive newly-developed Isaac Newton Building. The School holds a broad range of expertise in Computing Technologies and Information Systems, including specialisms in robotics and autonomous systems, computer vision and image engineering, medical applications of technology, social computing, games computing, cultural computing and business computing.

The School of Engineering is the first new Engineering school in the UK for more than 20 years, becoming a reality following a £37 million investment. Combining state-of-the-art R&D, teaching facilities and a strong focus on research-informed teaching, we have brought together an international team of staff from a range of disciplines and industry backgrounds to ensure that our students get the most from their course and the best start in their Engineering careers.
Department of Geography
The Department of Geography believes in the importance of interdisciplinary knowledge to address major issues. Our academics are experienced researchers investigating key issues in global development across a spectrum of human and physical geography, in collaboration with academics in other disciplines. The School of Mathematics and Physics offers a range of programmes from BSc up to PhD in both Mathematics and Physics. Our award-winning staff conduct cutting-edge research in fundamental and applied mathematics and physics, ranging from pure mathematics to applied nano-science at the interface between biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics.
Medical School
The University of Lincoln has embarked on an exciting collaboration with the University of Nottingham to offer medical education in Lincolnshire. Students can now apply to study for the University of Nottingham's Medicine BMBS degree or Medicine BMBS with Foundation Year based in Lincoln, taught by academic and clinical staff from both universities. Students can learn in dedicated facilities including clinical suites, modern lecture theatres, break out areas for group projects and specialist laboratories.
School of Pharmacy
The School of Pharmacy aims to produce passionate pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists who are adept in addressing many of the major healthcare challenges we will face in the future. Pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists have the potential to forge strong and unique bridges between science and healthcare to improve health outcomes, built on the back of developing good relationships with patients, healthcare practitioners and the pharmaceutical industry.
National Centre for Food Manufacturing
The National Centre for Food Manufacturing (NCFM) is a major resource for the UK’s food industry with over 250 companies accessing courses for their employees, research and innovation. A nationally leading specialist provider of education to the sector, NCFM is dedicated to helping food industry professionals advance their careers through part-time degrees, higher apprenticeships and short courses. In delivering research and innovation, NCFM supports progress and growth within food businesses, aided by our partnerships with technology suppliers and outstanding specialist food factory and lab facilities.
Lincoln Institute for Agri-food Technology
The Lincoln Institute for Agri-food Technology (LIAT) is a specialist research institute at the University of Lincoln, which brings together expertise in a diverse range of subjects such as agriculture, artificial intelligence, robotics, ecology, hydrology, animal welfare, biology, genetics, food manufacturing, mechanical engineering, microbial resistance, new product development, and supply chain management and economics.
