School of Sport, Coaching & Exercise Science

Psychological support is offered by dedicated staff with a wealth of experience in the area of sports performance, working to improve the mental aspects of performance on and off the playing field.  The main areas the team specialise in are; confidence, cohesion, motivation, anxiety, relaxation, coping, mental imagery, dealing with injuries and concentration/focus.

The structure to the support can be provided in one of two ways, 1 - 2 - 1 or to a team or group of performers. The support provided is by BASES accredited staff operating using the BASES code-of-conduct and provides strict confidentiality to clients, agreed before any consulting takes place.

Successful support has been provided in a wide variety of sports including rugby, golf, tennis, archery, football, athletics, netball, boccia, cricket, canoeing and rowing.
