Biography

Mark Doughty has been a member of academic staff at the University since 1994. Initially attached to the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology at the Grimsby campus, he then moved on to the Faculty of Engineering and IT - based this time at the Hull campus. Mark is now based at the Lincoln campus within the Faculty of Technology.

Mark's teaching areas are in the Games Computing field. C++/OpenGL/DirectX programming as well as computer gaming studies form the bulk of the teaching duties.

Marks research interests lie in the games field also. Particular areas include the development of games related curricula at uinversity, affective gaming and the alternative uses of computer games technologies.

Mark is currently working on a book publication in the games studies field with his colleague, Duncan Rowland.
