Quality Assurance in Medical Regulation in an International
Context - July 2006 (PDF 3880Kb)
This report was commissioned by the
Chief Medical Officer's Advisory Group, to review the mechanisms
for quality assurance and medical regulation across a number of
states, including how doctors' continuing competence is assessed
and maintained, how poor practice is detected, and what action
is taken.
Lincolnshire Homeless Strategies - October 2004
(PDF 387Kb)
In June 2003 the Policy Studies Research Centre at the
University of Lincoln was commissioned by the Lincolnshire
County Homelessness Strategy Subgroup (LCHSS) to identify the
support needs of those categories of homeless persons in
Lincolnshire who fall under the umbrella of ‘Supporting People’
policy (young people; older people; people with mental health or
learning disability issues; victims of domestic violence;
substance misusers; and ex-offenders). This report summarises
the findings of the research.
An Evaluation of the Children's Funds Projects In Lincolnshire -
August 2004 (PDF 732Kb)
The aim of this study was to evaluate the activities of the
Children’s Fund projects in Lincolnshire from the perspectives
of the intended beneficiaries (i.e. children and their carers).
The research focussed on stakeholders like children and their
carers due to the fact that they are the direct users of the
Children’s Fund projects. Uniquely, it incorporated training and
support for service users and providers in evaluation
techniques.
Evaluation of the Lincoln Crime & Disorder Reduction Strategy
Year 2 - September 2003 (PDF 136Kb)
This report relates to the second year of the audit of crime
prevention and reduction in the City of Lincoln. In this year,
two main surveys were conducted: a postal survey of households
in Lincoln and a telephone survey of businesses in Lincoln. The
purpose of these surveys was to ascertain the experiences,
perceptions and views of residents and employers in the City
concerning issues and initiatives relating to crime.
Community Control: A Position Paper - August 2002 (PDF 286Kb)
This research outlines the position with regard to community
control in England today. The picture is a complex and varied
one, with many interesting and innovative developments. The
literature identifies a number of approaches to community
control - housing-based, asset-based, service-based, community
investment, etc. However, the research shows that the list of
possible options is much longer than that previously envisaged.
Homelessness Amongst Black & Minority Ethnic People - March 2002
(PDF 133Kb)
This research reviews the literature relating to BME
homelessness, presents findings from the research into what
needs to be done to tackle the problem, and draws conclusions
about the nature of issues involved and areas for further
research.
Lincolnshire Youth Crime Audit - May 2001 (PDF 4.69Mb)
The research on which this report is based was commissioned by
the Youth Offending Service of Lincolnshire and the Lincolnshire
Connexions Service. The aims of the research were to: gather raw
data on youth offending in Lincolnshire, using a variety of
sources such as police data from January 1998 onwards; analyse
this data in terms of a age, gender; ethnicity, type of offence
and number of offences per offender; review the youth crime
aspects of the crime and disorder reduction strategies of the
seven constituent District Councils of Lincolnshire; interview a
cross-section of young offenders; and provide a structured
report.
