National Social Work and Social Care Recruitment Campaigns

The national campaign to encourage more people to pursue careers in social work was launched on the 10th February 2006. The social care recruitment campaign followed from 6th - 31st March.

	Social work: From the 10th February, press and new radio advertising appeared in national/local media in England.
	Social care: From 6th March, television ads plus new press and radio advertising highlighted what modern-day social care work is all about.
	A dedicated information service: 0845 604 6404 - and website www.socialworkandcare.co.uk - will take enquiries from the public, give information on the SW degree and on how to get voluntary or paid work in the sector. At the University of Lincoln we participated in Your Future Exhibition at City Hall, Hull on the 22nd February 2006, and ran an Open Day at the Derek Crothall Building in the City Centre of Hull.

We still have places on our Social Work programme in Hull and Lincoln.
