Here you will find advice and guidance from Riseholme College about financial matters

Course Fees

Full-time courses are free for those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course, and resident in the UK or in most of the EU. For students over 19, fees for courses will vary, and you should enquire with Student Services.

Part-time and short courses are priced individually, and details of fees can be found on the individual course pages.

There may be additional costs relating to your course, which will be explained to you when you enrol.  These may include a registration fee and/or assessment fee (particularly for short courses), course materials or specialist kit.

Financial Assistance

The government requires us to see proof of identification for all learners, which can take the form of a passport, driving licence, National Insurance card, credit or debit card, exam certificate, employer’s ID or a government Entitlement to Benefit letter. We are unable to enrol you without this identification.

Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)

EMA is available to learners who are leaving Year 11, or who are born between 1 September 1989 and 31 August 1992, joining a full-time course or an LSC-funded programme leading to an apprenticeship (PLA).  Anyone who meets this criteria and whose household income is less than £30,810 could be entitled to an EMA.  For further information contact the Student / Parent Helpline on 0800 1218989, or visit www.direct.gov.uk/ema
