Schools Link Courses

You may come to college while you’re still at school as part of our 14-16 provision, but you will need your school's permission.

The course lasts for two years, and you will attend Riseholme College for one day per week when starting Year 10.

The aim of this programme is to create enhanced vocational and work related opportunities for 14-16 year olds in Lincolnshire who can benefit most from a flexible curriculum. The programme provides a range of BTEC Diploma and City & Guilds Diploma qualifications working in partnership with local schools. Programmes are available at both Riseholme and Holbeach campuses.

The objectives of this programme are:

To raise attainment in national qualifications of participating pupils
To increase pupils’ skills and knowledge
To improve pupils’ social learning and development
To increase retention in education and training after 16

Students at Riseholme College can study the following subject areas:

Agriculture
Agriculture and Countryside Skills
Animal Care
Horse Care
Horticulture / Landscaping
Land-based Engineering

We are also happy to visit schools, and talk to students about their options at 14 and beyond.
