Background

My PhD was gained at Nottingham Trent University under the supervision of Dr. Hugh Miller, the title of which is “The Social Construction of African-Caribbean Identities; A Black British Male Perspective”. I have been a lecturer at Lincoln since 1999.
Teaching
I teach on modules that span the three years of the undergraduate degree. These modules are:
Year I: Themes, Issues and Debates in Psychology; Current Issues in Psychology
Year II: Social Psychology; Social Theories & Applications; Research Skills 2; Investigating the Individual
Year III: Conceptual Psychology; Organisational Psychology (I coordinate these two modules)
Research Interests
I am interested in issues around identity, race, prejudice, and discrimination, discursive psychological work of various kinds, and utilisation of q-methodology and other critical psychology investigative tools. I am also interested in terrorism, citizenship, collectivism-individualism, and teaching (I regularly contribute to the Association for the Teaching of Psychology Annual Conference)
