Andy Dixon A Lincoln School of Journalism graduate has become the first business editor for Scottish Provincial Press.

Andy Dixon will spearhead a revamp of the company’s Executive magazine, which has a readership of 40,000 people and provides business news and features covering the Highlands and Islands plus Moray.

He also provides business content for the company’s 13 newspapers which includes the award-winning Inverness Courier, where he moved through the ranks from trainee to senior reporter since graduating in 2006. During this time he deputised as editor, news editor and sports editor.

The area he covers has huge growth potential with the renewable energy sector, life sciences and tourism among the main industries.

Andy was part of the Inverness Courier team which won the Highlands and Islands newspaper of the year award three months ago (February) and has since been a runner-up for Scottish and UK awards. Individually, he has won several awards since graduating, including reporter, young journalist and sportswriter honours.
