Lincoln students hit the world’s creative cities
illustration Graduating artists and designers from the University of Lincoln are putting Lincoln on the map as a hotspot for creative talent, exhibiting their work in cultural capitals such as New York, London, and Milan.

Students from the Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design have showcased their degree work in some of the world's leading design shows, galleries and trade fairs this year, and are now putting their creative genius on display in the city of Lincoln.

Lincoln Product Design students are amongst the only UK students to have made the bill for a third time at Milan's prestigious Salone Satellite Furniture Show. They exhibited for the first time at New York's International Contemporary Furniture Fair earlier this month, collaborating with Design students from the University of Philadelphia and San Jose State University.

London is the venue for Graphic Design and Creative Advertising students who will be at the D&AD New Blood show at Truman Brewery in July, while Contemporary Lens Media students will exhibit their photography at the capital’s Strand Gallery the same month.

Fashion graduates will be appearing at London Graduate Fashion Week in June, having already previewed their collections to their Lincoln audience.

The free Lincoln exhibitions featuring the many disciplines from the Faculty will take place across the city from 4 June to 17 June.

Student animators, architects, artists, designers, conservators, film-makers, illustrators and photographers will be showing their degree work at various venues, giving the public an ideal opportunity to see some of the University’s iconic contemporary and historic buildings at the same time.

Conservation students will not only be exhibiting their conservation and restoration skills but also their involvement in major UK restoration projects, such as the St Pancras Renaissance London Hotel, undertaken with the University’s commercial conservators, Crick-Smith UL.

Fans of animated films and CGI can see the imaginative creations of Lincoln's final year Animation students in glorious big screen format during a special free screening at Lincoln's Odeon cinema on 9th June, starting at midday.

Exhibitions are open daily from 10am-4pm (11am-3pm 1st weekend; closed 2nd weekend). For more details and show locations visit www.lincoln.ac.uk/aad
