Commuter Jazz with the Ben Martin Quartet this Friday
Saxophonist Ben Martin Outstanding saxophonist Ben Martin will be appearing at this week's Commuter Jazz evening at the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre on Friday (4 February 2011).

Commuter Jazz is the LPAC's exciting new weekly event which invites live music fans to see some of the region’s best jazz musicians between 5pm and 7pm.

Taking place in the Theatre Café of the LPAC, which is based on the University of Lincoln's Brayford campus, jazz fans can treat themselves to freshly made coffee and teas, sandwiches, snacks and a wide range of drinks from the bar, whilst enjoying the music.

Described by Guardian critic John Fordham as "a soloist of immaculate taste", Ben is one of the UK's most talented saxophonists and has performed with such jazz luminaries as Kenny Wheeler, Dave Liebmann, Jim Mullen, Andy Sheppard, Tina May and Dave Green, as well as dance favourites Groove Armada.

Admission is free.
