Miriam vying for stardom on soap favourite Neighbours
Drama student Miriam Locke-Wheaton A drama student from the University of Lincoln is in the running to win a guest role on the much-loved soap opera, Neighbours.

Miriam Locke-Wheaton is one of five young actresses hoping to win a four-week slot on the Australian series as part of a Five competition.

The winner of the Five Be a Star on Neighbours competition will take on the role of Poppy Rogers. Poppy, who is billed as a free-spirited Brit, will spend four weeks on Ramsay Street staying in the Kennedy household as a friend of Mal Kennedy.

Miriam (21), who is originally from Kidderminster, is a final year student on the University of Lincoln's BA(Hons) Drama programme.

She said: "To win the competition and spend four weeks working on the set of Neighbours in Australia would just be mind-blowing."
