The team behind the prospectus collect their award The University of Lincoln's undergraduate prospectus has won a national education marketing award.

Lincoln claimed silver in the Best Higher Education Prospectus category of the 20th Annual HEIST (Higher Education Information Services Trust) Awards. The awards celebrate innovation and professionalism in higher education marketing in the UK.

More than 400 representatives from colleges and universities around the country attended the prize-giving ceremony at Manchester's Palace Hotel.

The University of Lincoln's publications team, alongside design agency Optima, collected their honour from double Olympic Gold Medal winner Dame Kelly Holmes, who hosted the event.

Samantha Clark, Senior Publications and Campaigns Officer at the University of Lincoln, said: "We are extremely proud to win this award. A lot of work went into the development of our undergraduate prospectus and to receive recognition for this is fantastic. It's a project that shows real team effort."

Lincoln's undergraduate prospectus underwent a major redesign for 2010. Subject groupings were restructured to make the prospectus easier to navigate. The publication also switched to a more convenient and cost-effective size and was printed on 100 per cent recycled paper.

The University was competing against 24 other institutions in its category at the HEIST Awards. The University of Leicester was also awarded a silver, the Royal Agricultural College collected bronze and gold went to the University of Birmingham.
