Food companies to get Fresh at event
Food companies to get Fresh at event How modern information technology can help businesses in the food supply chain to increase profitability, maximise efficiency, minimise waste and improve traceability will be demonstrated at the University of Lincoln’s National Centre for Food Manufacturing on Wednesday 24 March.

The LINKFresh Roadshow event, organised by Anglia Business Solutions, will enable food sector businesses to find out about Microsoft’s Dynamics NAV platform and its version specially developed for the fast moving food industry: ‘LinkFresh’. The ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software, valued at around £3 million, has recently been installed in the high-tech training factory at the Centre and can be trialled by companies interested in how it can benefit their business.

Guest speaker Mike Dudbridge, Principal Lecturer at the National Centre for Food Manufacturing, has more than 30 years’ experience of working within the food industry and will share his insights into best operating practices. Mike will highlight the benefits of businesses having full and up to date information, as opposed to trying to manage complex operations partially in the dark.

Microsoft will share the latest news and trends from the ERP marketplace and explain how its massive R&D investments in its Microsoft Dynamics range makes it the world’s leading mid range supplier, providing the business agility needed to compete in this sector.

In addition delegates will see how a state of the art, real time, ERP system can greatly improve visibility of product throughout the entire supply chain. The resulting improvement in productivity can make a significant difference to the bottom line while improving customer service.

Anglia will be demonstrating the latest advances in their LINKFresh® solution – the award winning business management solution for the food supply chain industry.

Anglia will also unveil its new LINKLogistics™ solution.  LINKLogistics provides essential optimisation for inbound and outbound transportation, suitable for any organisation providing transport services to both internal and external customers.
