Comedy star Jason adds Lincoln date to UK tour
Award-winning British comedian Jason Manford has extended his national tour to include a date at the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC).
Jason, best known for his role as team captain on Channel 4’s comedy panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats, will appear at the University of Lincoln venue on Saturday 14 March.
It will be the second time the rapidly rising comedy star has performed in the city. He was one of the headline acts of last October’s inaugural Lincoln Comedy Festival, when he took to the stage at the University’s Engine Shed.
Tickets for his appearance at the LPAC will go on sale on Monday 19 January.
Victoria Simpson, Venues, Events and Programme Manager at the University of Lincoln, said: “We’re very excited that Jason will be performing at the LPAC. He’s one of the new generation of rising British comedy stars, and while most people will know him best for his appearances on TV, there’s no better way to appreciate a great comedian than to see them doing live stand-up.”
Promoter Shaun Almey said: “I’m really pleased to be able to get Jason back to Lincoln on the extended part of his tour and also to be able to put the show on in LPAC. I think as a venue for touring acts it will prove to be really popular and Jason is a fantastic act to be putting on there. He proved really popular during last year’s comedy festival and the show was really well received.”
Jason Manford will perform at the University of Lincoln’s LPAC on Saturday 14 March. Tickets cost £14 and go on sale at 9am on Monday 19 January. They are available from www.lpac.co.uk, 0844 884414 or the Engine Shed and LPAC Box Office, which is open Monday to Saturday from 10am-4pm.
Doors will open at 7.15pm and the performance begins at 8pm. The event is for people aged 18 and over only.
