October open day at University of Lincoln

The University of Lincoln will be opening its doors to prospective students at an October open day.

Anyone interested in higher education can attend the event, which will take place between 9.30am-3.30pm on Saturday 18 October.

Visitors can take a look around the University’s main Brayford Pool campus and there will also be tours of the nearby Riseholme Park and Cathedral campuses.

Staff and students will be available to answer questions about the many different courses on offer at the University.

Tutors will be manning stands to provide information on their subjects while some departments will offer tours of their facilities.

There will also be timetabled talks on important issues like accommodation, fees and finance and student life.

Visitors will be able to get a closer look at some of the latest additions to the University’s campuses, such as the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC).

They will also be encouraged to enjoy the sights of the beautiful cathedral city of Lincoln itself.

Andy Kirk, UK recruitment officer at the University of Lincoln, said: “Our open days are a great way for people to find out more about what we have to offer here. The atmosphere is very relaxed and informal and staff and students will be happy to answer any questions from visitors.”

The University of Lincoln’s last undergraduate open day was held in September. Further events are being planned for next month and January 2009.

The October open day runs from 9.30am-3.30pm on Saturday 18 October. Visitors can simply turn up at any time on the day. For more information call 01522 886644 or visit the University of Lincoln’s website at http://www.lincoln.ac.uk/home/opendays/he-index.htm.
