A University of Lincoln student has completed a placement at MUTV, the official television station of Premiership champions, Manchester United.
BA (Hons) Journalism student, Danny Clough, was able to work in a variety of roles within the production side of the television channel. He said: “It was different every day. I was able to try different things including running the statistics in the production van at a live seniors game.”
The highlight of the placement for the 22 year-old though was helping in the production suite during the Champions’ League final at Old Trafford, Manchester United’s ground. He said: “I was asked if I would help during the final which was brilliant - and I got paid for it.”
Initially, Danny heard about the opportunity through one of the lecturers on his course, who then actively helped to set up the placement. Back in Lincoln Danny said: “Having worked at MUTV, I can say that the facilities in the media department here at the University compare very well to what is used out there in the industry ”
