University opens its doors to prospective students

The University of Lincoln is inviting anyone interested in Higher Education to attend an Open Day on Wednesday 9 July.

The Open Day is a relaxed and informal event designed to help answer questions about all areas of life at the University of Lincoln through tours, presentations and information from a range of University staff.

Andy Kirk, UK Recruitment Officer, said: “This is an event designed for anyone who is considering a full-time undergraduate degree at university. It is also a fantastic opportunity for us to meet our prospective students.”

The University will be showcasing the wide range of subjects available. Advertising, Bio-veterinary Science, Criminology, Games Computing, Graphic Design, Media Production and Sports Exercise Science are just some of the many subject areas which will be covered on the day.

Halls of Residence, the Engine Shed and the new Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC) will be included in the tours of the Brayford campus. Visitors will also be able to look around the Riseholme Park and Cathedral campuses.

A series of presentations covering all aspects of student life, including finance, will run throughout the Open Day. Visitors will be able to speak personally to academic tutors and current students to find out more about courses. There will also be a talk specifically for parents.

The event runs from 10am until 3.30pm and visitors can arrive at any time. You can pre-book or simply turn up on the day. For more information call 01522 886644 or visit the University website at http://www.lincoln.ac.uk/home/opendays/he-index.htm
