Outstanding trio to perform at LPAC
Nationally acclaimed young mezzo-soprano, Julia Riley, is due to perform at the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC) alongside Graham Oppenheimer on viola and Martin Roscoe on piano, on Thursday 17 April 2008.
Miss Riley has received numerous awards including Countess of Munster Award, a Musicians’ Benevolent Fund Award and first prize in the 2007 Mozart Competition. She is appearing in leading roles with Glyndebourne on Tour and is set to make her Paris and Rouen debuts.
Artistic Director Graham Oppenheimer is known to audiences for his characterful playing and imaginative programming, whilst Martin Roscoe continues to be heard regularly through numerous UK concerts, his Radio 3 broadcasts and many acclaimed CD recordings.
The performance forms part of the Lincoln Academy International Concert Series 2007/08, and will feature:
Brahms Songs op 91 for
viola, mezzo & piano.
Beethoven Piano Sonata op 53 in C major “Waldstein”.
Janacek Children's Songs.
Clara Schumann Lieder op 13.
Brahms Sonata for viola & piano op 120 no 2 in E flat major.
